Book of the Month

We hope by now you’ve visited the MindBody Therapy Centre and experienced a massage from one of our wonderful therapists, used our infra-red sauna or been pampered by our beauty treatments. It might be a surprise to know that we also have books on sale at the centre. Each month we will be highlighting these books and encouraging you to improve your mental health. As our name suggests, we are all about the mind as well as your body so come on down and invest in the great books we have on offer.


March – Mothers

This year Mother’s Day was celebrated on 27th March 2022. Set as a day for honouring mothers and grandmothers for their contributions to our families, communities and society many of us will spoil them with flowers or a nice lunch out. Some of us don’t need a special day to remind us of the loving sacrifices made to nurture and sustain us on our life journeys as we happily acknowledge what our mothers have done for us on a regular basis.


However not all of us have great relationships with our mothers and make our way in life without them. This may be a way of being that we have gotten used to but it might be worth stopping and considering whether we might actually be stuck in a stagnant relationship, imprisoned by bad memories of what our mother has done to us or not done for us?


In Forgiveness, our March book of the month, legendary life coach Iyanla Vanzant challenges us to liberate ourselves from the wounds of the past. She offers a 21 day forgiveness practice that explores the relationship not only with our mothers but with every aspect of our lives. Iyanla provides help with exploring those moments when we are quick to judge and slow to pardon, with a view to creating a space for living and loving more intentionally.
