MINDBODY PUBLISHING

~ for the Author in you

MindBody Publishing is a new venture under the MindBody Group that is passionate about providing complementary health care to people in need, at all levels of the community.  MindBody Publishing continues and extends this work by promoting, encouraging and publishing books that advocate for health and wellbeing, self-development, education, self-care, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Part of our mission is to share and preserve the stories and intergenerational histories of African and Caribbean People in Britain.  We would love to hear stories about the Caribbean and black British experiences and encourage stories or accounts, particularly of black men's experiences, including the 'left behind children of the Caribbean'.

We are aware that people from this community can be limited and pigeonholed by the mainstream publishing industry. Important as topics about discrimination and racial injustices are, we know that our stories are more than this. We are a creative people, and it is our desire to publish these stories and accounts as novels, short stories or poetry.

There are so many of you out there who want to write a book but don’t know where to start or where to turn to for support and advice about the publishing industry.  We want to make it easier for you to get self-published and help you to realise the author inside you. We are coming from the roots of a community steeped in Griots and oral culture.  Continue this storytelling heritage through MindBody Publishing and pass this heritage and legacy on to the next generations.

We will provide some publishing knowledge. You just provide the story and invest in yourself.  Let's learn and share our histories together ways that will enlighten, stimulate and entertain. Our goal is to give voice to new and diverse creative talent as we also discover and make history in this new world.
